Reanetta Hunt, M.ED., CFRE

HMMG Founder and CEO Reanetta Hunt is a highly accomplished journalist, author, and corporate and nonprofit executive skilled in various domains with decades of experience in integrated communications, education, and nonprofit management. Working across multiple domains and with a diverse client base, her philanthropic work includes public and private foundations, education institutions, healthcare, and social change organizations with an emphasis on leadership development, young-adult learning, and employment training.

Focusing on planning, grantmaking, evaluation, and research, she expertly guides mission-centered strategic plans designed to exceed programmatic and financial objectives and fundraising goals while generating goodwill and public trust. She has raised millions for small and mid-sized organizations and corporations by instituting razor-sharp, results-oriented campaigns.

In addition to her agency work, she has reported, anchored, and produced television and radio news, for which she has received Chicago Emmy nominations and recognition as an Outstanding Broadcast Journalist (Chicago/National). Other awards include academic achievements, the prestigious Arkansas Traveler – Ambassador of Goodwill, awarded by Governor Mike Huckabee; Angels in Adoption, awarded by the US Congressional Coalition on Adoption; Outstanding Civil Service, awarded by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission on Civil Rights; and Rights; and Who’s Who in Black Chicago (Chicago Defender).

Ms. Hunt has been a key strategist for several high-profile state and national civic and political campaigns, guided communications for the third-largest school system in the nation, and led advancement in higher education.

Her work in foster care and with at-risk youth has earned national recognition. She has served in leadership positions on several local and national boards and commissions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in education from the University of Arkansas, where she is presently a doctoral candidate. She holds fundraising, stewardship, and finance certifications from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She is also a Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
